On behalf of the Global COVAX Facility (the vaccine strand of ACT-A) UNICEF is leading the largest vaccine procurement and supply operation ever undertaken, aiming to make 2 billion doses of the COVID-19 vaccine available for delivery by the end of 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201cAs a global leader with a strong sense of responsibility to the communities in which we live and work, <\/em><em>&nbsp;we have strengthened our efforts in recent weeks to face the urgency of local situations head on,\u201d <\/em>said Aiman Ezzat, CEO of the Capgemini Group. <em>\u201cAt this critical time where many places such as Brazil and India are continuing to live with the harsh reality of COVID-19, we are committed to accelerate medical assistance and equitable access to the vaccine. <\/em><em>We encourage private companies to join UNICEF\u2019s efforts with us in this unprecedented global fight.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u201dWe are extremely grateful for Capgemini\u2019s support to UNICEF in its efforts to fight COVID-19.
