Here\u2019s what she had to say\u2026.<\/h2><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-cg-blocks-group undefined section section--article-content\"><div class=\"article-main-content\"><div class=\"container\"><div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-md-11 col-lg-10 offset-md-1 offset-lg-1\"><div class=\"article-text article-quote-text\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-opportunities-have-you-had-to-shape-your-career-at-capgemini\">What opportunities have you had to shape your career at Capgemini?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There have been too many opportunities to count! Whether it has been the chance to work on a project that challenges me to work with new technologies, or it&#8217;s a time on project where perhaps more senior people have been on leave so I&#8217;ve been able to step up and take over responsibilities while they&#8217;ve been absent, or it&#8217;s the endless amounts of training opportunities that allow me to learn new technical or soft skills. One of the things I love best about Capgemini is that there are just so many chances to grow in your career, whether it should be in a purely linear manner or taking sideways steps into new roles or areas of expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-is-the-most-exciting-or-innovative-project-you-have-been-part-of\">What is the most exciting or innovative project you have been part of?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve found all the projects I&#8217;ve been part of have been exciting and innovative in different measures. We have often been the one of the first people implementing a technology within the client department. There has always been a flexibility and continued drive to utilise the latest technology, even on larger scale transformations where the new can become old even before the project has been delivered!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-capgemini-has-been-voted-as-one-of-the-worlds-most-ethical-companies-12-years-in-a-row-by-ethisphere-what-experience-of-ethical-working-have-you-had-seen-be-part-of\">Capgemini has been voted as one of the worlds most ethical companies 12 years in a row by Ethisphere. What experience of ethical working have you had \/ seen \/ be part of?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;d say that ethics is a constant undercurrent to everything Capgemini does. Capgemini will always look to value when proposing innovations or change &#8211; it&#8217;s not just about change for change&#8217;s sake, it has to bring a value to the client. This can be in the form of new functionality within the system, but equally it could be improving the deployment process with automated pipelines, which frees up developer time to be used elsewhere, or the addition of automated testing, which improves the consistency of the solution being delivered and avoids spending time fixing bugs. Another example of ethical working would be the focus on ensuring that people have the tools and freedom to maintain a healthy work\/life balance, whatever that might look like for each individual. Capgemini will always put the needs of their staff first, as a healthy workforce leads to better performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-we-ve-been-voted-as-one-of-the-best-places-to-work-in-the-uk-by-glassdoor-and-great-place-to-work-tell-us-what-you-think-makes-capgemini-a-great-place-to-work\">We\u2019ve been voted as one of the Best Places to work in the UK by Glassdoor and Great Place to Work. Tell us what you think makes Capgemini a great place to work? <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Capgemini is so supportive of their employees, whether it&#8217;s helping in career development, or managing work\/life balance through major life events, or in helping employees find and follow their passions. I think this is the real distinction between Capgemini and other companies. Other places might also have exciting, transformational projects to work on and teams of highly skilled staff ready to deliver, but I&#8217;ve not seen a company where people are so excited and willing to share their knowledge with the people around them. She thrives in problem solving situations, using logic and pragmatism to find the most appropriate solution.
