Jas is a .Net developer with 14+ years of experience developing software solutions using the Microsoft technology stack. Why did you join Capgemini?
I was drawn as Capgemini are a global System Integrator. I developed a better understanding of the Microsoft capability and our offers such as Sharepoint and Dynamics 365 (in addition to .Net) and the opportunities that can present in terms of cross-skilling. I was able to see our vision for the future – that the cloud is a key part of our strategy to ensure we can deliver solution of engineering excellence to our clients to meet the demands of now and the future technical climate.
Why have you stayed at Capgemini?
The people! The people that I have had the opportunity to work with have helped me to develop my technical, design and soft skills. I work with people from different backgrounds, from design to delivery, coding through to DevOps, you can learn something from all of them on a project or having a coffee.
What are your interests outside of work?
I enjoy doing things like riding my mountain bike, and swimming. I am fortunate as there are a few trails that are local to me. I recently started swimming, which I found quite tiring initially because my starting point was more like splashing about. I have a plan to get a sports bike soon, but that’s on hold at the moment until I can get more time to go out on it!
