We live and operate in a digital and disruptive environment. The Graduate Accelerate Programme is designed to support the development of future inventive minds by helping them drive change and providing them with the necessary skills to offer value-added solutions for clients. Join us and be part of our industry renowned Accelerate Programme, helping us transform the way businesses work, behave and deliver their strategic objectives in the digital age.

The Focus of Your Role

The Accelerate Programme is designed for talented graduates who are looking for a role where they can combine technology, data science and creative design to help clients solve complex business and technology challenges. This opportunity comes with exposure to a range of sectors, after which, members of the programme will commence specialising in one of the Capability’s within Capgemini Invent.

When you join the Accelerate Programme you become an Associate Consultant, where you will embark on a challenging and exciting journey where you will develop key skills that help our clients change the way they work, behave and achieve their goals. You will have the opportunity to work on large scale transformation programmes in the UK or further afield. You will ensure the smooth delivery of end-to-end projects by working flexibly, demonstrating intellectual capability and delivering innovative solutions for clients. The day-to-day tasks can vary from engagement with senior stakeholders, conducting analysis of data, designing business strategies to delivering workshops. We work with clients in the following sectors: Consumer Products & Retail, Financial Services & Insurance, Government, Utilities, Manufacturing, Automotive & Life Sciences (MALS) or Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT).

Additionally, members of the Accelerate Programme will work on internal initiatives, which contribute to the growth of our business away from direct client work. There are a wide variety of initiatives which will help develop your core consulting skills whilst exploring other areas of interest throughout the business. Many of our graduates enjoy contributing to thought leadership, propositions and event management.

What You Can Expect

Over the 21-month programme you will develop skills and gain the experience needed to become a well-rounded and entrepreneurial Management Consultant with an inventive mindset. Throughout your time on the Accelerate Programme there is a robust support system in place, which is there to help and guide you through the process. There will be an initial intensive 2-week induction at the start of your enrolment in The Institute.

The Institute

The Institute is a program designed to coach new joiners on fundamental consulting skills in preparation of landing their first external client. Intakes are allocated to internal clients and assignments are given to provide an introduction into the skillset of a consultant. Associate Consultants receive continuous feedback based on the delivery of short, intensive projects in order to further develop their knowledge within the realm of client work. The Institute builds upon the cohesive nature of Capgemini Invent, where new joiners are mentored and coached, whilst incumbent consultants can delegate work to continue to meet and exceed client expectations.

The Foundation Period

Next on the Accelerate Programme journey is the Foundation Period lasting six months and ending with a probation gateway reflecting the past nine months in total. During the Foundation Period, individuals will likely be involved in several external client engagements. This can be across various markets and sectors. Whilst Associate Consultants are encouraged to network internally to seek out roles there is plenty of support for this, not least through the Intake Lead. This person is dedicated to a specific graduate cohort and focuses upon:

  • Pastoral Care: Providing ongoing support and guidance to individuals as they navigate their first nine months
  • Personal Development: Setting objectives, driving personal development, undertaking performance reviews and ensuring general well-being
  • Graduate Community: Working holistically to link the specific graduate intake with the Institute, the Leadership team and the Graduate community
