A giant Prince’s Trust Jigsaw on display in the Telford Shopping Centre raises
almost £9k. The Jigsaw has been sponsored by companies and individuals to raise
funds for the West Midlands Region of The Prince’s Trust.
The Jigsaw is the brainchild of a group of employees from Capgemini who have
been participating in the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Project. They have raised
over £8,500. Genette Milburn from the group said ‘People have been very
generous. The money will help young people in the West Midlands who may be less
fortunate than ourselves. As well as the jigsaw, we also had collections at AFC
Telford Utd, the RAF Cosford Airshow, Telford town centre and Ironbridge. Local
people have supported the fundraising efforts and also know about The Prince’s
Trust. The fundraising projects have been a fantastic experience for us all, we
have learnt a great deal.’
10 young people from the Lord Silkin School who are currently participating in
one the Prince’s Trust’s programmes, the XL club, helped build the Jigsaw.
The team would like to thank all sponsors of the Jigsaw, whose contributions
will help young people piece together their lives. Special mention goes to the
top sponsors of the Jigsaw.

Notes to editors
The Prince’s Trust Enterprise project challenges employees to plan, promote
and implement a project that raises funds to help young people get their lives
working. Capgemini is the first company to have teams taking part in the West
Midlands. Fundraising events have included a golf tournament, 5-Aside football,
and a balloon race.
