Capgemini UK was honoured at the CIMA Financial Management Awards 2008 last night, Thursday 27 November. Held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London
and hosted by Gyles Brandreth, Capgemini
UK beat Royal Bank of Scotland, Proctor & Gamble and Marks & Spencer to
be named ‘Finance Team of the Year’.
Capgemini won the award for the successful transition of Capgemini’s financial
systems from the UK to India in less than a year with no negative impact on business
as usual. Judges were particularly impressed by the team’s
ability to harmonise UK standards and practices across India and the UK whilst
allowing staff to gain their CIMA qualifications and a better work/life balance
– regardless of location.
Tony Deans, Vice President, Finance, Capgemini UK, praised the winning team: “This award was well deserved and my congratulations
go to the entire team.”
From l to r: Matt Witkiss, Roger Clews, Clive Hart, Tariq Moghal, Christine Hodgson,
