Two-week induction

This intensive induction equips you with the skills to succeed on a client site. These range from how to structure a presentation to process mapping, reading project charters or conducting financial analysis. You’ll get the chance to learn from external speakers and subject matter experts. At evening activities, you’ll get to know colleagues and senior people from across the company on a more informal basis.

Consulting skills workshop

In our 2-phase consulting skills workshop (CSW), virtual learning sessions are followed by an intensive 3-day course with case studies and role plays in multinational teams of consultants. This course is normally held at the Capgemini University, Les Fontaines, just outside Paris.
Building on your induction, the CSW helps you learn how to operate in a team and highlights your strengths and areas to work on. You’ll be able to build long-lasting relationships with colleagues in different countries.

ASE rotation

CDC members have a fantastic opportunity to spend 3 months working in Capgemini’s well-known Applied Innovation Exchange (AIE) or Accelerated Solutions Environment (ASE). The AIE’s mission is to inspire our clients to transform the world by applying emerging technologies and ideas, using design thinking and quick-build to drive innovation and business. The ASE helps clients solve problems collaboratively by bringing together senior stakeholders from multiple business areas. This varied and fast-paced work gives you insight into the workings of leading companies.

Support structure

The support structure within Capgemini Invent is a huge asset for your professional and personal growth.

A Personal Development Manager oversees your professional development and act as the main contact for career progression and development queries. In addition to this, you will also be assigned a Performance Coach who offers support for performance related queries.

Informal support for personal development ranges from a personal buddy – a more experienced graduate consultant to help you settle in – to SPOCs. These SPOCs are the main points of contact for involvement and development within your practice and competency team.

Aside from this there is many avenues of support ranging from HR partners to personal mentors all to assist in your personal and professional development.

Community

One of our core values is fun, and in that spirit, you will be joining a vibrant community of like-minded people from all backgrounds who enjoy taking part in a variety of initiatives and events inside and outside of work. From social events and sporting events, to internal clubs and societies, we offer our consultants opportunities to get-together and build strong relationships, and while the work we do is highly demanding and challenging, we understand the importance of working in a fun environment and we value employees who live rich and rounded lives.

Friday Night Fun

Every month our Friday Night Fun team organises a night out for our CDC consultants to relax, socialise with the community and enjoy complimentary food and drinks. They can also partake in themed activities such as karaoke, football or ping-pong.

Clubs and Societies

CDC Quarterly Meeting

Every quarter, the whole CDC community gathers in a chosen venue to meet-up with their peers and hear the latest developments in the community from the CDC leadership, including learning & development opportunities, promotions and upcoming events. Most importantly, it is another chance for our consultants to get to know each other and build their team-spirit  through activities and challenges (rocket building, scavenger hunt,…).

Alumni

Following your graduation from the Consultant Development Community scheme, you  will keep the strong relationships you have built over the past two years with your peers but most importantly senior leaders and experts you will have worked with on large transformation programmes. This will accelerate your future career as your strong network of colleagues will support you throughout your experiences at Capgemini. There will also be opportunities for you to keep being involved in the  CDC and give back, by shaping the future of the graduate scheme and provide mentorship to our graduate consultants.

Exciting Client Projects

We believe in empowering our powerful-minded graduates to accelerate their development and entrust them from day-1 on client site with key responsibilities to help drive performance improvement for our clients. From redefining strategies and working with emerging technologies, to offering better customer experiences and increasing market share, you will be deployed on critical programmes. From Government projects impacting the life of millions of people, to large European regulatory programmes in the Financial Services industry or exciting digital transformations in the Retail sector, you will have an opportunity to deliver concrete results.

Capgemini being a leader in technology and innovation, you will be offered opportunities to work on projects involving emerging technologies such as Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence, and shape what the future will look like for our clients.

Internal Work Opportunities

Giving something back

Invent has inclusive, people-focused values and ethics, and values corporate social responsibility (CSR). We push for reductions in energy, business travel and waste, and increase employees’ awareness of environmental issues.

This positive approach to corporate sustainability means that Capgemini Invent will support you in pursuing CSR opportunities. We have consultants offering their time to work with local schools and colleges in outreach programmes, for example leading employability, technology or career events. On our Capgemini Give and Gain day, graduates and other employees spend a day volunteering for a charity of their choice.

You can nominate a favourite charity for a quarterly Community Impact Award of £1,000 to help it create an even more significant social impact.
