“On any digital project, you need a team of developers, a business analyst who understands what the client needs and an architect like me who acts as the bridge between the two.”
Andy Glover, Digital Architect
What we do
We’re the ones who determine what the client wants to achieve from a business perspective, then break that down into specific technical requirements for our developers to focus on. But our work doesn’t end when the solution is up and running. We also define how its performance will be reviewed, improved and often how it’s managed too.
How we make an impact
We play a crucial role at every stage of the client relationship. From pre-sales, where we provide the technical insight and expertise to help secure new clients, through delivery where we realise the potential of their existing technologies and exploit the opportunities presented by new ones, to managed services where we streamline the way they operate day-to-day.
Who we look for
Of course, the specific skills and experience you need will depend on the role you apply for. But there are certain personal qualities we look for in everyone who works with us. We want:
- People who know how to make things happen
You must be able to translate the client’s practical needs into technical requirements for our development teams.
- People who are great at getting their ideas across
Whether your audience is clients or colleagues, technical or non-technical, you need to know the best way to get your ideas across.
- People with a talent for getting others on side
As the bridge between clients and our development teams, it’s essential that you can build strong relationships with both.
Where you fit in
It’s your talent, experience and passion we’re interested in rather than where you’ve worked before. Colleagues join us from all kinds of backgrounds, ranging from large consulting firms to start ups, SMEs and multinational organisations. Here are a few examples:
- E-commerce specialist with a high street retailer joined us as a Digital Architect
- Digital Architect from a Smartcard Programme and Software Solution Company
- MS Dynamics Architect from an American Multinational technology organisation
- Delivery Architect from a UK Software business
- Integration Architect from a European Leading Home Improvement Retailer
Why others made the move
We asked some of our experienced hires why they made the move to Capgemini and what makes being part of the team in Architecture different to where they’ve worked before.
Please see the videos of Our People.
Where it could lead
You should see your first role with Capgemini as a platform from which you can build real momentum in your career.
