A senior architect specialising in integration, Lisa has over 20 years delivery experience.  At Capgemini Lisa has developed excellent leadership, negotiation and influencing skills as well as her technical capability – this enables her to be an effective communicator at all levels.  Lisa typically works as the integration lead on large accounts as well as maintaining strong links with external technology suppliers and partner organisations.

Why have you stayed at Capgemini?

In short, it’s the people!  In my 22 years with Capgemini I have worked with a huge cross section of the organisation – across roles, grades, sectors and locations.  The attitude, professionalism and inclusive ways of working really make us stand out from other organisations.

What are your interests outside of work?

I love running and have run 5 marathons.  In the past few years I’ve started doing triathlons, and have completed two half ironman events.  I have two amazing children that also keep me very busy and I also learn from them every day.

How has your journey been with Capgemini?

In Capgemini you manage your own career, and that’s a good thing, as you’re in control of your own destiny.  I’ve found there’s always someone to help and support you, whether formally or informally.  I have mainly tried to progress within each engagement, and to take that experience to finding my next role.

My year’s maternity break unexpectedly turned into an 11 year break away from Capgemini where I immersed myself in full time parenthood and all that entails. A friend recommended the Relaunch programme to me and sent me the date of the next Relaunch event. I went along without any expectations but came away keen to join having found a role I was really interested in. The coaching we received at the event and the resources on the Relaunch  website really helped with the interview.  As part of the Relaunch programme, for 6 months, we are given regular coaching sessions, covering work life balance, prioritizing, goal setting and the ways in which you talk about yourself and communicate to leadership and colleagues. I have been really grateful for this. It’s made returning to work such a positive process – I am so glad I took the plunge!
