What is the biggest lesson that you have learnt as a graduate on the Accelerate Programme?

Be your authentic self and build your brand. Having a personal brand that articulates who you are, makes it easier to connect with colleagues and clients. Leverage your personal brand to build your network and seek out opportunities.

Can you describe your typical workday?

No two days are the same in Consulting, you’ll never be bored! I’m currently working for a global client and our stakeholders are based all over the world. In the Covid-19 era, I spend most of my day on Microsoft Teams in meetings with stakeholders to execute our business change approach and deliver value for end-users.

What are your top tips to graduates for maintaining a healthy work-life balance?

Capgemini is great at encouraging a healthy work-life balance. I use my mobile a lot to keep on top of notifications and work on-the-go. When I need to switch off, I turn on quiet hours on the Teams mobile app to limit notifications to working hours.

What is one thing you wish you took full advantage of on the Accelerate Programme?

Starting a new project or role entails learning new skills, adapting to a new environment and finding out where your strengths lie. Take advantage of every opportunity – ask questions, get things wrong, try again and learn from each experience!
