Main Purpose Of Role

The focus of your role
The Risk and Regulatory practice sits within a rapidly growing and exciting consulting practice, where the opportunities in the FS Sector are vast. We have long-term and challenging, large scale programmes with many of the major banks including addressing their back books. Your role will be to lead the senior client relationship with at least one bank and work with our business to leverage our consulting expertise and technology to help them execute large scale rectification activities at pace, delivering quality and efficiency. You will be key to growing and managing our business in rectification first and foremost, but will of course have the opportunity to expand our wider portfolio of services across Risk, Regulation and the wider FS Market.

Key Responsibilities

What you’ll do
As a Principal consultant, you’ll help drive our strategy, shape our offers, develop our capability and lead sales and delivery work with new and existing clients. You’ll generate new business/sell and deliver in excess of £1.5m per annum of management consulting work.

Skills and Experience

What you’ll bring

You’ll bring experience in winning, delivering and leading management consultancy projects within Financial Services and have a passion for transforming business through enabling technology and transforming the way clients operate. You will be confident at working in a very challenging Financial Sector, with a comprehensive understanding of the FCA and PSRs strategic direction, you’ll also need to understand their rules and guidance and have a sound knowledge of most (if not all) retail products.

In addition, you’ll have the following experience and personal attributes:

Experience in the following topics is essential:
o Running large scale, varied and complex rectification programmes
o Understanding the end to end process from RCA through to decommissioning of delivery;
o FCA and PSR regulations across a range of retail products;
o A track record of successfully engaging with senior stakeholders, both internally and externally in a tightly governed environment, sensitive to SMR;
o Evidence of building multi-disciplined and highly effective teams;
o A sound grasp of emerging technologies including, but not limited to RPA;
o Working with or consulting for a major retail bank in a senior role;
o Working with or for an Financial regulator including as or for a Skilled Person; and
o A broader understanding of the regulatory landscape and how this impacts on the market and our clients.

You’ll demonstrate consulting professionalism and flexibility – you’ll be able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity. In fact, you’ll thrive in this environment. You’ll combine the commitment to own and deliver outstanding work with the gravitas to engage effectively with C-level / CXOs on a peer to peer basis.

Whilst you will have London as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.

We offer a remuneration package which includes fixed salary, and in addition for Senior Consultant and above, you will receive variable compensation dependent on company and personal performance. We also offer flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances.
