The focus of your role

The role will involve providing ongoing support and Developments of for a broad range of technologies including core Oracle e-Business Suite, Oracle Forms, Oracle SQL, SOA/Fusion and interfacing, UNIX scripting. 

Additionally, a senior developer will be expected to lead more junior Oracle Development resources and provide all aspects of technical systems support including setting up support procedures and implementing support best practices. The candidate is expected to be able to work independently and as part of a team, being able to demonstrate an ability to develop other colleagues and be proactive in their own career.

• At least 5 year plus experience of Oracle Development Experience for a senior developer role.

• Able to travel to client locations
 

What you’ll do

Providing Development and Technical consultancy in all areas of technology including, but not restricted to, the following:
• Resolution of technical incidents/problems/RFCs and developments for the client using:
• PL/SQL coding
• Interface or report investigate / issue understanding
• SOA/Fusion – Understanding of SOA and how to investigate SOA issues
• Oracle Reports
• Oracle Forms
• XML manipulation
• UNIX shell scripting
• Implementing best practise security features in code
• Assessing and delivering new developments for clients
• Creating/updating relevant technical documentation
• Involvement in testing of fixes and enhancements
• Liaising internally and externally with Functional and DBA teams and help desk and externally with client staff
• Liaising with Oracle Support
• Following ITIL processes such as incident/problem and change management procedures
• Additional knowledge of Utilities industry will be advantageous
