Market Development Executive – Banking and Capital Markets

The focus of the role

Our global Banking and Capital Markets practice are seeking an experienced digital solution consultant/architect, able to work as the bridge between our account teams and our team of consultants and technologists to design, communicate and sell in transformational digital solutions.    This is a fulltime permanent position based in London, but global travel will be required.

The successful candidate will be expected to be comfortable working with a CMO or a COO, as well as with a CTO or CIO.

You’ll fully understand the role of the cloud in the future of our business and our clients.

What you’ll bring

  • Work with our Account Managers, finance domain specialists, technology specialists and Commercial Team to develop digital solutions and strategies by identifying opportunities and issues, defining solutions, developing business cases and delivery plans
  • Define and communicate the role of technology in delivering these solutions
  • Build strong relationships with clients and prospects by communicating the above in a clear and motivating fashion
  • Work with the Heads of Delivery to ensure client issues are resolved and opportunities raised
  • Work with our transformation experts from our Consulting Services to develop and evolve Capgemini’s digital transformation capabilities by understanding clients’ changing needs and market trends
  • Support and act as solution lead on a pipeline of business development opportunities

Other candidate requirements: 

•       A strong track record of defining and delivering business solutions to complex challenges enabled by new digital technologies

•       Either experience of supporting business solution definition from within a consultancy or leading change across a business from within an internal business or IT function

•       Experience in agile delivery and cloud based solutions

•       Experience in the delivery of digital enabled transformation programs

•       Experience in driving innovation into business operations and customer experience

What you’ll be doing

We are looking for an individual who will play a key role in designing and communicating transformational digital solutions to our clients and prospects – solutions that will deliver what our clients and their customers need and want:

  • Improved customer experience to meet the ever changing expectations of the new digital consumer
  • Seamless banking experiences, across all my digital devices and in branch
  • The ability to target relevant information and interact with the consumer using context aware computing
  • The ability to define the impact of the new expectations across our client’s business, in areas such as operations, trade finance and commercial banking
  • The ability to change ways of working from being process centric to customer centric to realize the benefits of the blurring of business boundaries driven by the new digital consumer
  • The ability to leverage new disruptive technologies
  • Understand the role in digital and data agility. Be able to understand how to solution the cloud with leading edge digital solutions

The candidate will be able to bring together business issues with technology opportunities and develop solutions which address customer experience design, technology and data architecture, operating models for business and IT and commercial models which can leverage the pay on demand cloud paradigm. This will involve working work closely with our account teams and or teams of domain and technology experts. Together, they will draw on our digital services and platforms to deliver ground-breaking solutions that deliver against these needs. The work will be across all aspects of banking and financial services, covering retail banks, commercial banks and cards, working with partners from new specialist SaaS providers, through to major players such as Google, Salesforce.com and an ecosystem of Fintech partners.

In addition you will:
