HR Business Director – Cloud Infrastructure Services

The focus of your role

This is a strategic HR leadership role that is accountable for partnering with the UK CIS business to drive their people agenda. CIS is part-way through a transformation programme that is moving it to a more digital and agile player in new technologies. People transformation is a huge part of this journey.

 

The role reports to the Chief HR Officer for the Cloud Infrastructure Services (CIS) Global Business Line (GBL). The primary purpose of the role is to develop a strong relationship with and become a trusted advisor to the President, CIS UK and the executive leadership team. The HRBP must understand the business strategy in order to align the people agenda and then deliver on it. In addition, the role is accountable for ensuring efficient and effective delivery of the HR processes.

 

The role is strategically focused, but with operational responsibilities, in the areas of talent management, performance management, skill & capability development and employee engagement.

 

An ability to lead and participate in business transformation is necessary such that the HR function aids business growth and evolution whilst mitigating risk of external and internal claims or exposure to unfair and inconsistent application of process and policy.

What you’ll do
  • Build effective and long-lasting, trusted relationships with key business stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver the people agenda for the UK CIS business, ensuring alignment with the Group and CIS HR strategy
  • Support and drive the transformation agenda of CIS
  • Coach and develop the HR BP team in the UK in order to grow capability and thus improve HR delivery
  • Engagement with and input to the sales and bid processes – running the people streams where appropriate and participating in customer presentation

The group provides infrastructure outsourcing services, including data centre, helpdesk and network support, as well as market leading services such as service integration and cloud brokering orchestration. The group also provides infrastructure transformation services, helping clients to virtualise and optimise their technology estates.
