Component Test Lead

The job on offer

In order to drive the growth agenda in Cloud Infrastructure Services, we are looking to expand our team. You will assist in the management of our testing platforms and support our service offering to our customer.
You will be leading a test team, where you will take the role of a Component Test Lead Responsible for technical development of the platforms and resolving day to day issues.

Your role

You demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Responsible for Overall Component Testing – Functional, Non-Functional and Component Integration Testing
  • Coordinate testing between suppliers and partners 
  • Responsible to produce test strategy, test plans, test cases/scripts, test status reports, test completion reports and test data
  • Co-ordinate provision of suitable test data to test environments 
  • Responsible for supporting the client in testing 
  • Responsible for environment coordination
  • Responsible for test management of Operational Acceptance Testing and Performance Testing
  • Schedule and manage execution of OAT and performance testing
  • Collaborate with Technical and other workstream for OAT 
  • Responsible for setup of internal testing and quality processes within the testing team 
  • Responsible for creation of required templates for testing and test management 
  • Responsible for test team management and mentoring
  • Input to the client Test Strategy and Test Plan, including defining test cases and test data
  • Ensuring that all defects on the environments are resolved satisfactorily
  • Work with the Capgemini Delivery team to ensure that releases to the various test environments are managed in line with the agreed quality standards and processes
  • Review documents and provide feedback to respective workstreams

* To report the risks and issues associated with Component Testing (Functional and Non-Functional) and escalate timely to the Test Manager or the Project Manager

* Coordinate Client reviews and sign off
* Progress and status reports
* Test Completion Reports

* Reporting
* Test Manager/ Project Manager

Key Skills
•    Consulting experience
•    Experience in UK Public and Secure sector
•    Experience of Non-functional and infra testing such as security testing, performance testing etc
•    Experience with ServiceNow and similar application testing such as Remedy
•    Exposure to test automation, automation tools/frameworks 
•    Experience of managing multi-vendor and multi supplier testing
