Now in their fifth year, the Rising Star Awards were the first to focus on the achievements of women below senior management or director level – representing the female talent pipeline and the next generation of leaders.
The awards were entered by over 1,250 individuals and were judged by a panel of 54 independent judges. Over 35,000 public votes of support were received for the 200 shortlisted nominees across 115 countries.
After an exceptional start with Sogeti, part of Capgemini, in 2012, Anahita continues to excel in her role as a digital transformation consultant.
A passionate activist, Anahita’s drive and determination extends beyond her successful career at Capgemini. She:
- Co-founded a project called Change the Future, a volunteer campaign to enable technology to educate displaced children in refugee camps;
- Travels to Greece annually to support NGOs on the ground;
- Works on a project to bring together peace ethos and social change as an associate fellow of St Ethelburga’s Centre for Reconciliation and Peace; and
- Has supported Capgemini’s partnership with Code Your Future, mentoring students and presenting on the developer role.
“Act with ambition and compassion”
Anahita (pictured right) comments: “To all my dear colleagues at Capgemini and beyond: have a rebellious spirit, act with ambition and compassion, dare to be creative and disruptive, care for people and the future. Step away from the existing ways of working and lead the transition from the present to the future world.”
