Capgemini employees take on Telford All Star XI in charity football match

Publish date:

As October approaches and the weather gets colder, it’s obvious that there’s one definitive way to get people warm: run around a pitch for 90 minutes, or marvel at the spectacle of your co-worker’s physical prowess (or lack of)!

As part of this years’ Million Makers entrepreneurial challenge, working to raise money for The Prince’s Trust, Capgemini’s Blue Aces team is putting on a charity football match on the 3rd of October at the New Bucks Head, home to AFC Telford (Watling Street, Wellington, TF1 2TU).

A team of Capgemini employees (who secured their places through bidding) will play against an All-Star XI team from Telford AFC’s current and ex-players.

If spectating is your game, the tickets are now available , including the option to purchase a box for a maximum of 10 people with a 2-course meal provided at the grounds – you can buy tickets here. Doors open at 18:00, kick-off is at 18:30, and the evening of entertainment will go on until 22:00, with food and drink available at the venue. Parking is available on-site or look to get the train to Wellington Train Station, which is just a short walk away.

Jaymz Goodman from the Blue Aces team explains: “It has been a massive challenge to the volunteers, liaising with corporate contacts, advertising and putting together a bespoke auction app to make the event a reality. We are exceptionally proud of everyone who has sacrificed their time to make this event a reality, and now just need your help in bringing it to life and supporting The Prince’s Trust. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone put their best foot forward, so get tickets for family and friends, and come along to what will be a night to remember.”
