Capgemini UK achieves Global Gender Equality Certification

Publish date:

Capgemini UK has achieved EDGE (Economic Dividends for Gender Equality) Assess certification, the leading global assessment methodology and business standard on gender equality in the workplace.

EDGE evaluated our talent pipeline data, organisational policies and employee feedback to determine that we are meeting the standard on recruitment & promotion, leadership training & mentoring and company culture.

Frances Duffy, Northern & Western Europe Region HR Director, commented: “Our EDGE certification is testament to the progress we are making towards greater gender diversity and inclusion through our Active Inclusion programme. We now benefit from a global benchmark from which we can continually measure our progress around gender equality against other leading organisations.”

We received highly positive feedback on our policies, processes and steps taken as part of our Active Inclusion programme, particularly in senior leadership and communications. We also saw progress around employee perceptions towards flexible working: in our Active Inclusion survey in 2016, 61% of respondents said they make use of flexibility as part of their Work Life Harmony, while the figure jumped to 78% in EDGE’s 2017 survey.

Frances Duffy continues: “The journey does not end here. As part of the certification process, we have committed to a plan which we will focus on over the next two years. As we continue to create opportunities for those from any background, action areas include ensuring an inclusive approach to hiring and improving gender balance at all levels of the organisation.”
