Capgemini and world-leading agri-business Syngenta took home the award in the ‘Transformation’ category at the 2015 Information Services Group UK & Ireland Paragon Awards gala in London for the Global Compensation Transformation Programme.
This award recognises the transformation of an organisation or a key business function, and is judged on the following criteria:
- The development and management of a cogent change plan to drive the transformation
- Implementation of a “one team” culture
- The impact on the business results of the client and operational efficiencies for all affected parties
- Clearly defined processes to manage governance, risk and financial aspects
Our Global Compensation Transformation Programme with Syngenta – which uses our “HR as a Stack” approach with SumTotal’s SaaS solution as the technology enabler combined with high quality, global process and service delivery – nailed every one of these criteria.
Prior to the project, Syngenta’s annual compensation review process was decentralised. Syngenta worked with Capgemini for the attainment of a very lofty goal – a global rollout of their annual compensation review programme. Capgemini was tasked with selecting the technology and designing and delivering a solution in nine months that would serve nearly 90% of Syngenta’s employee base.
Managers can now control global compensation spend for all 25,000 of their professionals across 89 countries. We enabled Syngenta to differentiate and reward the performance of their teams more efficiently.

ISG’s inaugural Paragon Awards have been designed to celebrate and promote best practices, leadership and innovation by both clients and service provider organisations in the ever-changing sourcing and service management arenas. The winners were selected by an independent panel of industry experts drawn from the fields of business, media and charity, and announced on Wednesday 1 July 2015.
