I have been working in the Information Technology industry for the last 20 years. I have occupied different operational and services roles within the value chain, ranging from innovation-focused ones to industralisation-focused ones. In these roles I had the privilege to directly manage highly-skilled teams of up to 250 people in Solutions Pre-Sales, Program Management and Engineering across different geographies. I have managed business IT operations and projects in both functional (ERP, CRM) and infra-structure domains that spanned Europe, the US, Brazil and off-shore teams in India.
My best contributions are in transformation environments, where we have to lead our teams through changes in business models and culture. I do believe in leadership by example and I like to think I particularly excel in federating and motivating teams to grow and achieve goals they did not think possible.
On the personal side, I am able to fluently conduct business in English, French and Portuguese. I hold both a German and Brazilian citizenship, I have been living in Paris with my family – my wife and one son – since 1999.
My current pet topics are Machine Learning, Affective Computing and Corporate Innovation Management.
I have been practicing internal chinese martial arts for the last 20 something years, and took on mindful meditation recently. I also like to think that I am a decent photographer, but this is highly debatable.
