Capgemini Appoints Bart Thielbar as North American Utilities Practice Lead

Thielbar brings more than 25 years of operational and delivery experience to Capgemini’s growing utilities practice, which was recently named a leader by independent analyst firm Verdantix in its 2015 North America Green Quadrant for Power Utility IT Services report. His expertise in digital customer experience will further enhance Capgemini’s smart meter and customer engagement offerings, which were both cited as strengths in the report. He has led advisory and technology engagements with many of the largest utilities in North America and has worked with many software and technology providers.

Thielbar’s prior experience includes serving as a senior vice president at Five Point Partners and as president of Itility Solutions, both utility strategy, research and technology advisory firms. He has extensive industry experience, having served previously as CIO for a combination gas and electric utility serving the Midwest and Northwest. He also served as chair of the Edison Electric Institute’s and American Gas Association’s Technology Advisory Council, and holds his Certified Information Systems Auditor designation from the Information Systems Audit and Control Association.
