We identify a challenge to the sustainable future of the planet and then create teams to develop a solution using artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other state-of-the-art data-science tools.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The GDSC is&nbsp;our global, purpose-driven&nbsp;hackathon and training that runs annually over multiple weeks and reaches thousands of participants each year. Throughout the challenge, participants:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2022 Work on an actual data science\/AI use case<br>\u2022 Learn how to develop, improve and interpret several machine learning algorithms<br>\u2022 Learn how to run a data science project on AWS<br>\u2022 Form a team, build their own solution, and compete against other participants<br>\u2022 Provide results to the client\/NGO for real-life implementation<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These hackathons bring together the skills of experienced data scientists \u2013 professionals within our organization, as well as colleagues at leading academic institutions and other partners \u2013 and enthusiastic, creative, up-and-coming talent.
