Victor is a Manager in our Enterprise Transformation capability unit and based at our Stockholm office
I’ve been part of Capgemini Invent for close to 1 year now, following a series of previous positions related to Digital Strategy, Innovation, and Transformation touching on areas such as Advanced Analytics/AI, Industry 4.0, and Engineering within Transportation and Manufacturing sectors.
Tell us about your role at Capgemini Invent?
As a Manager, I am responsible for managing projects and driving some of our offerings. I am particularly involved with IT/Digital Strategy and Operating Models, Connectivity and 5G, and Digital Manufacturing/Industry 4.0.
Looking back at your years at Invent, what are your key takeaways and highlights so far?
To me, the best aspect of Capgemini Invent is the people. Colleagues are bright, energetic, and engaging, which makes it a pleasure to work with them. The many experts in the firm are also very accessible to support in problem-solving and provide advice, leading to accelerated learning curves and professional development.
We help clients invent their futures by bringing to life what’s next. Tell us more about this, perhaps by sharing an example.
I have the pleasure to currently work with 5G, which is an extremely powerful and disruptive technology. Industry players and telecom companies are realizing this, and we are helping many create clarity on how they can benefit from 5G and related technologies and business models.
How does Capgemini Invent support your development?
In my experience Capgemini Invent has been very effective at placing trust and an appropriate level of responsibility on consultants while senior and expert support – in other words, placing people reasonably outside the comfort zone and giving them tools and support to succeed.
Tell us about the role as a counselor?
As a counselor, I get to coach consultants in earlier stages of their careers. It is very rewarding to use my experience to help others navigate their professional life. I’m also interested in personal development and have received coaching myself, so I also enjoy applying the tools I’ve learned to help others.
What characterizes the people and culture at Capgemini Invent?
Bright, driven, and friendly.
What is your best advice to a student or a young professional who dreams of starting a career in management consulting and at Invent?
Build a holistic professional profile with solid business and technology understanding, knowledge on new business models and ways of working, and international professional experience through internships and similar.
Why should one join Capgemini Invent?
If you are forward-looking, interested in combining technology, business, and management, enjoy lateral thinking, are driven, and looking for an exciting and accelerated professional development – this a great place.
