The introduction of S/4HANA was a significant technology innovation from SAP, and via a paradigm-shift approach marked the beginning of a new era for corporations using SAP ERP solutions. The future will be all about digitization, simplification, hybrid solutions combining on-premise and cloud components, agility and fast go-to-market supported by automation and artificial intelligence, with IT becoming a key enabler for business innovation.
S/4HANA also marks a new era for SAP consultants. Besides embracing the more straightforward technological changes – new and changed processes and functionalities enabled via simplifications and leveraging in-memory computing & and streamlined data model with real-time access – the SAP consultants of the future will need to become increasingly business-oriented, advising the client companies to implement leading industry best-practice processes based on SAP standard, leveraging pre-configured template solutions as accelerators, and following agile methodologies and principles.
This S/4HANA future is already here – also in Finland! First S/4HANA implementations are live, some are in progress, and most if not all SAP ERP user organizations are planning the roadmap into S/4HANA. For SAP consultants, S/4HANA has practically become the new norm.

These are the real deal, with S/4HANA 1709 Enterprise Management for finance and logistics, and BW/4HANA for reporting and analytics, with wide process scope and complex integrations to other systems. And we believe this is just the beginning.
