Your role as Application Specialist
The whole client team consists of about 60 great colleagues from Capgemini Finland and India. You will work in the Application maintenance team and thus be part of ensuring the functioning of a critical pension system in Finland. The tasks of the Application Specialist consist of analysing and solving incidents within multitude of systems, and the coordination of workload estimations together with developers, business analysts and testers. There are a lot of different stakeholders involved so fluent communication is vital. The technological environment is versatile, and the client is in a transition to modern technologies so there are a lot of learning opportunities and room for growth in this role!
Do you have what it takes?
To work as Application Specialist, you’ll need to:
- have a good understanding/background in Java EE development (preferably full stack), but the coding itself is mostly done by our Indian colleagues
- understand how different systems interact and work together due to the complexity of the technical environment
- have a proactive approach and good communication skills both in Finnish and English
- be a real team player yet clearly taking ownership for your tasks
We appreciate if you have experience/interest in some of the following: DevOps, microservices, Spring framework, React, Maven, Kubernetes, agile methods, cyber security, cloud.
