Executive Vice President in Capgemini Group, I have been Chief Executive Officer of Capgemini Spain from 2014 until April 2018 and CEO of Capgemini Portugal for over ten years. My career began as a strategy consultant for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and then as an expert at the Corporate Finance department of Banco Finantia. I was 32 years old when I became CEO of Vidago, Melgaço & Pedras Salgadas, a company listed on the stock exchange.
Always connected to different universities, I have a classic degree in Management from Católica Lisbon School of Business & Economics; a Masters in Finance from Lovaina Catholic University; and a degree in Law from Universidade Lusíada, graduating as the best student in both programmes. In 2011, I obtained a Masters in the Philosophy of Language from Lisbon Catholic University, with the highest grade summa cum laude.
Since 2017, I´m Doctor of Business Administration at Nottingham Trent University. My investigation is focus on the importance of action to strategy. My study of business administration, leadership, and management sciences are a personal pursuit; I love transmitting knowledge, and take great pleasure in teaching at prestigious business schools (Deusto Business School, ESADE Business & Law School, IE Business School, Porto Business School…) I have written variously in my specialties (strategy, management, leadership, turnarounds, M&A, negotiation, sales effectiveness …) and published eight books about negotiation, argumentation, financial crime prevention, humor, the logic of language, and management and strategy.
I like to share points of view and learn from others, particularly about strategizing and digital challenges, and to this end, I develop structured conversations with CEOs from Spanish big companies. These interviews are published by two prestigious magazines, TDN and APD.
