Head of Automotive Division, Germany
With more than 20 years of experience in the automotive and IT industries, Ralf is accustomed to collaborating closely with senior colleagues from leading automakers. As well as heading the automotive division within Capgemini’s German organization, he is also a member of the management board.
Making the automotive industry truly sustainable is a top priority for Ralf. Customers are now demanding credible solutions in this area, adding to the mounting pressures from governments and investors for the industry to reduce its environmental impact. Those demands have helped to put the topic of sustainability on companies’ board-level agendas, as well as on the personal agendas of CEOs.
However, many companies have yet to formulate their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies fully. Ralf and his team can help clients with this challenge, as well as with the creation of sustainable technological solutions that satisfy the expectations of customers and other stakeholders.
Data sovereignty is another of Ralf’s specialisms. He believes that the use and monetization of customer- and vehicle-related data will transform the automotive market, provided that automakers develop the new business models needed to manage and exploit data successfully.
