Lanny Cohen is Chief Innovation Officer for Capgemini.
Lanny is responsible for Capgemini’s global applied innovation strategy, as well as its worldwide network of applied innovation centers. The centers provide a Group-wide capability to engage with internal and external ecosystems to help clients develop and deploy innovative solutions. Under Lanny’s direction, Capgemini’s start up ecosystem is recognized as best-in-class by several industry analysts.
During his 35 year plus career at Capgemini and Ernst & Young combined, Lanny has held positions along the entire spectrum of business management, account management, business development, and delivery management from consultant to partner/vice president.
Within and outside of Capgemini, Lanny is a strong advocate of industry advancement and higher education. His standing in business and technology innovation sees him currently sitting on the ImpactLabs Advisory Board, overseeing an industry collaboration to deploy IoT to enhance enterprise and community resilience. His commitment to education has earned him a position as the former Chairman and still member of the Board of Trustees and a member of the Center for Ethics and Social Responsibility of St. Thomas Aquinas College, a leading liberal arts institution in New York State. Lanny has also served on the boards for the Association of Management Consulting Firms (AMCF), the consulting industry’s professional association, and TechAmerica, one of the largest technology trade associations in the United States.
In 2008, based on a record of helping clients meet global challenges and transform their businesses, Lanny was honored by the New York Executive Council with the Judges Choice Award for Innovation of the Year.
He holds a B.A. with dual majors from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from Southern Illinois University. A Certified Systems Professional, Lanny is a graduate of the executive leadership programs at the Kellogg School at Northwestern University and Harvard University.
