No Requirements: The Art of Oracle Applications at Cloud Speed [SBH11113]

Tuesday, September 24 11:30 am - 12:00 pm, Moscone South Exhibition Hall, Booth 739

Ron Tolido – Senior VP and CTO of Continental Europe Apps2, Capgemini

The cloud has set a new benchmark for making easy, quick, and flexible solutions available to businesses. With this comes new ways of designing and building on the next generation of SaaS solutions. It’s a “catalog first” world in which requirements don’t matter as much as they used to. Instead, the focus is on high-value scenarios, working prototypes of the actual solution, and risk-driven sprints. A business can implement a new SaaS application in six to seven weeks, at “cloud speed.” In this session, Capgemini shares firsthand experiences and outlines unique, extreme methodologies for implementing Oracle Cloud enterprise applications.

Enabling an All-Channel Experience [CON8376]

Brian Girouard – VP and Consumer Products & Retail Leader, Capgemini
Scott Meyers – Industry Principal Retail & CG, Oracle
Cassandra Moren – Sr.Director of CG Industry Marketing, Oracle

Shoppers are no longer loyal to an individual channel but rather to an experience across all channels. They expect to shop across multiple platforms and devices-and they expect to quickly find what they want. This requires consistency and convergence among different technologies, but providing a seamless experience across many channels is challenging for retailers. This session offers insights to help companies enable an all-channel experience for their consumers. The presentation highlights findings from Capgemini's "Digital Shopper Relevancy" and "Future Value Chain 2022" research studies and discusses various customer experience initiatives under way, including a consumer engagement protocol, OCommerce, and distributed order orchestration.

Tuesday, September 24, 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm, Hilton, Golden Gate Room 6/7/8

Wilson Rao – Capgemini
Gopal Padinjaruveetil – Chief  Application Security and Compliance Architect, Capgemini
The application layer has now become the most preferred attack surface, and remediation in large legacy Java applications is becoming a challenge. Also the attack vectors keep changing for critical attacks such as cross-site scripting. A need for a consistent configurable way of fixing vulnerabilities in Java code without making any significant changes to the underlying application code led to the creation of the approach that this session discusses.
