The client wanted to simplify the hosting and management of its messaging infrastructure. The On-premises Exchange organization consisted of 4000 mailboxes spread across three datacentres (one in the US, one in Switzerland and one in China) and the servicing users were located in more than 30 countries. Other “sub-projects” appeared during the whole migration as two companies were purchased and had to be integrated in the messaging migration project.
Capgemini offered consultancy and support for the migration of the messaging infrastructure from an on-premise Exchange 2003 infrastructure to Exchange Online. The scope involved – migrating 4000 mailboxes across 30 countries within 60 days of service.
Similar on-premise projects experiences and strong relationship with the consultant enabled smooth delivery of the service.
