The crowd balancing platform<a id=\"_ftnref1\" href=\"#_ftn1\"><strong>[1]<\/strong><\/a> (CBP) is a standardized and trusted data aggregator interface for small, flexible, and more efficiently distributed energy resources<a id=\"_ftnref2\" href=\"#_ftn2\"><strong>[2]<\/strong><\/a> that support the transition to a low-carbon economy.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Equigy is a pan-European platform launched by six leading European Transmission Systems Operators (TSOs) \u2014 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terna.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Austrian Power Grid<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tennet.eu\/de\/home\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TenneT Germany<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terna.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TenneT Netherlands<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terna.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Terna<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.terna.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TransnetBW<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.swissgrid.ch\/en\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Swissgrid<\/a>. Renewable energy sources, like solar and wind, are intermittent and variable in nature, which can put pressure on grid stability. Equigy has addressed this challenge by creating greater flexibility through the seamless participation of small-scale distributed energy resources such as electric vehicles or household batteries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agreement will leverage Capgemini\u2019s deep expertise in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capgemini.com\/ch-en\/industries\/energy-and-utilities\/\">energy and utilities<\/a> sector as well as its business and technology transformation capabilities, to build a platform that will reduce reliance on traditional centralized power plants.
