In this blog post, we will look at how AI is transforming HR and why CEOs should pay attention to this trend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to a LinkedIn report, 56% of HR professionals globally are using or planning to use AI in the following years. The benefits of AI in HR are far-reaching, and companies are willing to invest. As stated by Fortune Business Insights, the global human resource technology market is expected to grow from $24.04 billion in 2021 to $35.68 billion in 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI transforms HR by enabling organizations to revamp their operating models, streamline processes, and make data-driven decisions. The traditional HR approach is being replaced by AI-driven solutions that are more efficient, accurate, and scalable, resulting in significant financial savings and better overall performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As Jeanne Meister puts it in a Forbes article, &#8220;AI can help human resources identify the best candidates for a particular job more quickly and accurately than ever before, while also reducing the time it takes to onboard new employees and bring them up to speed.&#8221; The use of AI in HR promises several additional benefits, which are discussed in the next paragraph.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-where-do-we-see-the-most-considerable-potential\">Where do we see the most considerable potential?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On this topic, we have analyzed six different use cases in which we currently see the most tremendous potential of AI in HR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:15px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" src=\"https:\/\/prod.ucwe.capgemini.com\/ch-en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2023\/11\/AI-in-HR-Picture-2.jpg\" alt=\"AI-in-HR-Picture-2\" class=\"wp-image-529229\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.capgemini.com\/ch-en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2023\/11\/AI-in-HR-Picture-2.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/www.capgemini.com\/ch-en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2023\/11\/AI-in-HR-Picture-2.jpg?resize=300,169 300w, https:\/\/www.capgemini.com\/ch-en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2023\/11\/AI-in-HR-Picture-2.jpg?resize=768,432 768w, https:\/\/www.capgemini.com\/ch-en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/44\/2023\/11\/AI-in-HR-Picture-2.jpg?resize=1024,576 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>In our further analysis, we have found that AI will not only affect core disciplines in HR but will also have enormous implications for the HR operating model in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-should-the-use-of-ai-in-hr-therefore-be-the-top-priority-for-ceos\">Should the use of AI in HR therefore be the top priority for CEOs?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We believe that using AI in HR should be one of the CEOs&#8217; primary focuses because it will significantly impact an organization&#8217;s success in several ways.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workforce is the most valuable asset of any organization, and HR plays a critical role in recruiting, retaining, and developing the right talent. By leveraging <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capgemini.com\/ch-en\/insights\/research-library\/ai-powered-credit-decisioning-systems\/\">AI-powered<\/a> tools, HR teams can make more informed decisions about hiring, training, and performance management, leading to better outcomes for the organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time, AI will help organizations become more efficient and productive. With AI-powered HR tools, tasks traditionally requiring significant time and resources can be automated, freeing HR professionals to focus on more strategic initiatives. This can result in substantial cost savings and increased productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AI will drive organizations to foster a more diverse and inclusive workplace. AI assists organizations in identifying areas where the organization can improve diversity and inclusion efforts by reducing unconscious bias in the hiring process and analyzing employee feedback. This will lead to a more engaged and motivated workforce and better business outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The adoption will be different from the usual use-case based implementation of technology. We see that scaling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capgemini.com\/ch-en\/insights\/expert-perspectives\/unlocking-enterprise-innovation-with-generative-ai-balancing-power-and-security\/\">Generic AI<\/a> is a bottom-up exercise with the entire organization involved. Having access to Large Language Models, frontrunning employees start developing super-prompts and it is up to leaders in the organization to encourage, reward and scale those applications.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the increasing importance of data-driven decision-making, AI-powered HR analytics provide valuable insights into workforce trends and help organizations plan for the future. This enables CEOs to decide more strategically about resource allocation and strategic planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Overall, the potential benefits of using AI in HR make it a critical topic for CEOs to prioritize to drive organizational success. According to a study by IBM, companies that use AI in HR can reduce the cost of talent acquisition by up to 30%. CEOs and executives must develop a comprehensive strategy for integrating AI into their operations to meet employee expectations and stay competitive. This requires investing in AI tools, staying informed of the latest trends, and providing ongoing employee training. A proactive approach to AI can lead to long-term success, talent retention, and improved competitiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-do-we-lose-the-human-aspect-in-human-resources\">Do we lose the human aspect in Human Resources?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The word &#8220;Human&#8221; in Human Resources cannot be neglected because it emphasizes the value and importance of the people who make up an organization and recognizes that they are not just resources or assets to be managed but individuals with unique abilities, needs, and potential. Despite significant advancements in AI technology, there are still several areas where human intervention is required. HR professionals must learn new skills and adapt to the changing HR landscape. Additionally, HR departments will need to ensure that AI implementation aligns with the company&#8217;s overall strategy and culture. AI will not completely take over the tasks of HR professionals. Still, we agree with <a href=\"https:\/\/news.microsoft.com\/exec\/satya-nadella\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Satya Nadella, chairman and CEO of Microsoft<\/a>, when she says that &#8220;This new generation of AI will remove the drudgery of work and unleash creativity.&#8221; Through this statement in a Forbes article, she suggests that we can hand off tedious tasks to AI to focus on critical and human tasks again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the future, we need to harness the power of both human and AI expertise to achieve the best results.
