In 1995, he joined Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale and in 1996 he was appointed Deputy Head then Head of the bank\u2019s Corporate Banking arm in London. In 1998, he became Head of Global Supervision and Development of the Equities division. In May 2002, he was named Deputy Chief Financial Officer of Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 G\u00e9n\u00e9rale Group, followed by Chief Financial Officer in January 2003. In 2008 he was appointed CEO of the Group, before becoming Chairman and Chief Executive Officer in 2009. In May 2015, following the regulatory split between the roles of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer. He held this position until May 2023.<br><br>Mr. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Oud\u00e9a has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sanofi since May 25, 2023. He has been Chairman of the \u00c9cole Polytechnique Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of \u00c9cole Polytechnique since January 2022. He has also been Senior Executive Advisor of Groupe Bruxelles Lambert (GBL) since November 1, 2023 and has been a member of the Supervisory Board of Umicore since April 25, 2024.<br><br>Mr. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Oud\u00e9a is a Knight of the Legion of Honor and an Officer of the National Order of Merit.<br><br>Mr. Fr\u00e9d\u00e9ric Oud\u00e9a joined the Board of Directors of Capgemini SE on May 23, 2018 and was appointed a member of the Ethics &amp; Governance Committee on the same date.
