As you all know, Gender Balance is a key topic in Switzerland. A special event around this topic named “Women & Leadership” took place on March 8th, at the International Women’s Day 2018, in Geneva.
The aim of this event was to
- Discuss the importance of gender balance in the business world
- Share and learn from talented women’s experiences as professionals
- Exchange ideas to promote the gender balance initiative
This event was split into 2 parts:
The first part was an internal lunch with all Capgemini Switzerland women as well as the management team, followed by workshops around the 3 pillars at the heart of the Women@Capgemini Program (Recruit, Retain and Develop). These workshops enabled the team to share ideas and best practices on how to develop gender balance at work.
The second part took place in the evening, with a roundtable gathering four inspiring women from several big companies based in Switzerland.
The roundtable was moderated by a Journalist from Bilan.
Marie Wattez, Capgemini Switzerland’s Diversity Officer & Western Switzerland Business Developer introduced the session, and Deepankar Khiwani, CEO of Switzerland, concluded by making a focus on Capgemini’s actions.
The evening was closed by a cocktail and networking time front of the Geneva Lake.
This event gathered around 90 people including around 60 clients, and received such a great welcome than it will probably be the first edition of a yearly appointment!
All ideas shared during this special day will help us to build a strong action plan to strengthen the gender balance at Capgemini Switzerland, thanks to all for your commitment and contribution!
