The first points were to define what is a modern workplace, how can Microsoft 365 enable it, and how modern devices are unlocking the potential of the modern workplace?
Nils Eigenbrod and Hendrik Tehrar from Microsoft started by identifying the new trends about workplace for the ends-users: transparency, collaboration, Multi-generational teamwork, sense of purpose etc. Team is the new core component of the Microsoft 365 workplace and provides a secure integrated collaboration platform.
Microsoft 365, is based on 4 pillars:
- unlock creativity
- Built the teamwork
- Intelligent security
- Integrated for simplicity
Thanks to Microsoft 365, each customer can have access to a modern IT, easy to deploy and use, always up to date, cloud managed, flexible and adapted to his needs.
Then, Enrique Castera from Intel provided information about increasing endpoint security with Windows 10 and the 7th generation Intel chips. He shared insights on how security features integrated at different layers (hardware, firmware and software) will drastically enhance the security on Windows 10.
The last presentation was conducted by Eugène Dauphin from Capgemini Netherlands. He identified the components of a Digital workplace: a user-friendly area able to provide what is needed by the end user, anywhere, anytime and any device. The Smart Workspace solution helps customers to achieve this goal. It enables communication, facilitates collaboration, secures data and allows flexibility about used technologies and business applications.
Of course, the workplace evolved, and get closer to a Smart Workplace. This Smart Workplace, which is the target to reach, is enabled by the Smart Workspace solution including the Business Productivity Suite based on Powell 365. Please find more information on http://www.powell-365.com/.
The intranet changed and is now multi-device, personalized, used as a social network, with instant messaging, and with additional external tools. Powell 365 is a key tool to design and deploy a Smart Workplace on Office 365 going beyond the classic Intranet. All your specificities and needs can be included and be adapted over time, to provide a real tailor-made and company branded area without any coding!
The event concluded with two Capgemini experts, Laurent Vonau and Refael Colthof, who joined the speakers to share about real-life examples of what to consider when deploying Microsoft 10: major changes and key factors for making your project successful.
