Tell us about your role. What does a day in your life at Capgemini look like?

My day starts with a catch-up with my team. We discuss what we’re working on and any challenges we’re facing. From there, it really depends on the day, but the foundation of my job is designing solutions, so you’ll often find me reading documentation, studying best practices from industry, drawing diagrams, writing my own documents, and taking my designs to forums to discuss potential solutions. 

 The day also includes people reaching out for advice on their own challenges, and collaborative meetings to stay on top of what else is happening at the client. 

– What’s the best thing about working at Capgemini?

The best part of working with Capgemini is the quality of the leaders and the potential for growth in your career. 

Capgemini strongly encourages learning, and the team leaders I have worked with have always been advocates for my success; they have encouraged me to take on new challenges and new roles, which best align with my career aspirations. 

– What makes you proud to work at Capgemini?

I am proud of Capgemini’s culture. We have a culture of trust and respect that is made possible by listening to our communities – from new grads and our Employee Resource Groups to the internal surveys – and building our policies and programmes from the viewpoint of inclusion. We pay attention to the things that help us work together and encourage everyone to get involved. 

– How are you working towards the future you want?

I am constantly taking up new challenges. As soon as my work becomes  monotonous, I know that I’ve learnt enough to take it to the next level, and I find new ways to extend my role. 

– What advice would you give to someone joining Capgemini?

My advice would be to find colleagues who will support you and advocate for you – who will celebrate and share your successes – and you do the same for them. Build a culture of trust with the right people and work together to reach your goals.
