Test Lead

Job Title: Test Lead
Location: New York City, NY
Position Type: Permanent/Fulltime

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop automation scripts and perform Automation testing within the sprints . Experience working in Agile environment
Active collaboration & participation within Scrum team
Provide story point estimates of Automation testing tasks in the Sprint Planning meetings
Participate & contribute effectively in daily stand up, sprint review, retrospective meetings
Involve in creation of manual Test Scenarios covering positive and negative testing for User Stories
Provide inputs to Agile Automation test strategy, approach for every sprints
Define Test Automation Approach, Identify right tools and drive Automation coverage within the sprints
Ensure that tests are planned, carried out and reported thoroughly in a professional manner
Experience with scripting languages, and/or open source test tools (such as Cucumber, Gherkin, Selenium), and/or commercial test tools (QTP) and scripting languages would be an advantage
Strong analysis skills
Experience collaborating with programmers and business experts

Role Specific Skills:

Automation Testing, Experience in Agile Environment

Experience & Exposure Required:

3 - 8 (or more) years of proven experience in Automation testing out of which at least 2+ years in Agile
Must be customer focused, collaborative, eager to learn and passionate about delivering business value in a timely manner
Working knowledge of any ALM tool like Rally, Version one, JIRA Agile is must
Primary Skills (Must have)
Worked as Automation Tester in Agile environment (Scrum/Kanban/ SAFe)
Should have good exposure to testing web-based applications/ products
Good collaboration and communication skills
Ability to adapt to new Automation frameworks
Secondary Skills (Nice to have)
Working knowledge of Continuous Integration (CI) system
Agile and Software Testing Certifications are preferred
