Responsibilities
The Cloud Architect will be part of a team that has a focus on cloud based
hosted solutions for externally facing sites and services for NBCUniversal. The
cloud architecture team manages the design of dynamic infrastructure Job
Summary & Responsibilities: Provide level 2 application support and
application testing for Global Investment Research (GIR)

Support
of the GIR Technology platforms in a follow the sun model Coordination
and execution of scheduled software releases Work
with application managers to ensure capacity, resiliency and availability
thresholds are met Participate
in operational improvement projects and work closely with core technology
infrastructure teams on initiatives critical
to GIR Perform
application regression (QA) testing Perform
application performance benchmarking and develop associated capacity plans Develop
scripts to automate production support tasks Requires
onsite coverage during the week and rotational on-call coverage on weekends

Basic
Qualifications:

Experience
in supporting Application and Database platforms (JBoss, Apache, Sybase, etc) Working
knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows OS platformsExperience
with scripting languages (e.g. Shell, Perl, Etc) Experience
in supporting MS Office template / add-in / macro based applications Experience
in performing application regression tests and performance benchmarking Software
development integration and build processing in java and/or .NET platform Must
be fluent in speaking, reading and writing English Strong
analytical, communications and client-facing skills

Preferred
Qualifications:

Experience
with build and release management tools like SVN, Jenkins, Docker, Chef or
equivalent Experience
with automated testing and code quality tooling such as Cucumber, Sonar,
Selenium or equivalent Familiarity
with mobile technologies including Smart Phones and Tablets
