For Linux experience, we are interested in ppl who have experience
in the installation, configuration, and overall management of a Linux system;
ideally automating these types of operations. We want to avoid individuals who
only have a passing knowledge of Linux, or have only used it for development or
programming. We use a Redhat based OS, and would ideally like someone with
knowledge here instead of Debian based.
Perl / Bash:
The project will require debugging complicated Perl and Bash
scripts, regular expressions and Linux system commands. It is expected that a
large part of this project will involve Perl and Bash development, debugging
and reverse engineering.
We are expecting that this work may also include some restful API
development, using a combination of Perl, and/or Java, inside an apache or
tomcat environment. It will also require reverse engineering existing Java code
to pull out business logic and UI logic to segregate the two.
We are a medically regulated company, and there will be a lot of
documentation updates and testing work required of the team members in addition
to the design and programming work.
