Sr Technical Architect - CLOUD OPERATIONS ENGINEER

Desired skills and
responsibilities:

Act as a subject matter expert in a 24 / 7 Web/cloud platform operations team. Support and enhance business-critical PaaS/Web infrastructure
for NBCUniversal corporate environments. Own installation, configuration, integration, and management
of web infrastructure software, including but not limited to:LAMP environments,
Cloud environments (Pivotal Cloud Foundry) PHP, Perl and Python environments,
and JBoss/Tomcat application servers Research and recommend emerging technologies in partnership
with Solutions Architects to meet evolving business requirements and to
strengthen the tech stack Resolve technical issues for managed software and aid in
application integration on Cloud Platforms.
Analyze a complex cloud operations situation, take control of
the process and guide the team to a resolution Identify opportunities for automation and develop a
optimization workflow. Manage and execute infrastructure upgrades to stay current
with industry standards or contract requirements Support Technical escalations and work with different teams
to identify technical solution. Create and Document technical processes in a great details,
which could be followed by L1&L2 support teams.

Basic
Qualifications:

Hands on Operational responsibility for last 6 years. Hands on experience with various popular unix/linux
distribution : RHEL, Ubuntu, CentOS, OEL, Solaris, etc.. Minimum of 6 years
experience in supporting web infrastructure running in Linux/unix Environment. Minimum of 6 years of operational expertise with
configuration / change control and source-code management methodologies Minimum of 3 years of experience in AWS/Azure or other public
cloud platforms Minimum of 6 years of experience performance tuning J2EE web
applications Minimum of 6 years of experience performance tuning LAMP
and/or MEAN based web applications Minimum 6 years’ experience working in a big enterprise large
scale deployment of Infrastructure, Platform, Network, Compute, Storage, Data
Center, Workplace, Service Desk organization.Minimum 2+ years experience
with log management software i.e., Splunk, ELK , LogEntries, Papertrail etc.Ability to diplomatically interact and communicate with all
levels of an organization including different service delivery partners. Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability
to remain calm under pressure. Detail oriented individual with excellent time management and
organizational skills. Experience working in fast paced environment with stringent
SLA and track record of meeting them. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Desirable
Skills:

Hands on experience on either of the Automation tools –
Ansible/Salt/Chef/Puppet. Ansible hands on experience Public Cloud experience with any of the following: AWS,
Azure, terremark,vCloud, Rackspace VPC, etc.Enterprise level Application Integration experience on
AWS/Azure is highly preferred. Experience supporting Search Technology platforms Experience supporting high traffic B2C sites. Pivotal Cloud Foundry Experience is a big plus Open source community committer
