Senior Data Security Architect & Lead

 

Opportunity

 

Increased incidences of data theft, data loss, and unauthorized or inappropriate use and disclosure of personal data have resulted in questions relating to the effective implementation of laws and policies. Data protection is an area of law that is constantly evolving. But already there are more than 50 regulations worldwide in data privacy space. These regulations outline rules for handling personally identifiable data, as well restrictions on the transfer of data between countries and legal entities. To address this need, Capgemini offers comprehensive data security solutions to our Financial Services clients. Position is for a senior data security strategist who will define, evolve, and lead data security solutions including data masking, tokenization, encryption, access management etc. Furthermore, the candidate will collaborate with other practices like testing, infrastructure etc. to jointly develop data security solutions.

 

 

 

Roles & Responsibilities

 

Lead a large scale, multi-year data security program; act as a single point of contact for the client

 

Develop data security development plan and drive its execution

 

Drive data security architecture development

 

Architecture development process will include evaluating leading 3rd party solutions including Informatica ILM, DDM, Axis Technology’s DM Suite, Recommind, Imask etc.

 Develop detailed solutions for  database platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, Sybase, DB2 etc.), messaging platforms (e.g. MQ), and feeds (e.g. XML, flat files)

 

Develop detailed strategy and roadmap for persistence data masking, dynamic data masking, tokenization, encryption solutions

 

 Identify additional controls required that will work in parallel to data security solutions to provide comprehensive data protection solution for the client

 

 Document data security process flows, prepare dependency charts and determine the right lineage between business and IT needs

 

Responsible for managing deliverables quality

 

Responsible for collaborating with the project team members to produce weekly status report, and weekly project log consisting of issues, risks, action items, and progress against planned activities for a given week.

 

Co-ordinate daily planning & status check-in meeting with the Capgemini resources, where project activities, issues, risks and challenges will be reviewed

 

 

 

Experience Required:

 

 

 12 + years of experience in managing large scale IT and system implementations

5+ years of experience in large scale implementation involving but not limited to Persistence Data Masking, Dynamic Data Masking, Tokenization, Encryption etc

 

Experience working with Data Architecture and Application teams to define data privacy fields and data security requirements.

 

Understand database models & designs including referential integrity, application enforced integrity, data dependencies between applications.

 

Ability to understand Entity Relationship diagrams for relational databases.

 

Experience working with relational DBMS,'(tm)s like DB2, Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase, DB2

 

Good understanding of database validations, constraints, syntax and data types.

 

Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing to business and technology stakeholders

 

Ability to multitask and work effective with little supervision; ability to co-ordinate onsite and offsite resources deliverables/activities; Ability to work with client and manage their expectations & priorities

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
