Experience – 6 – 9 years Designation - Consultant One
of our leading Insurance clients is in need of a Senior Database Security
engineer based on the IBM Guardium product. The Guardium engineer would closely
work with our Client IT Security in the architecture, configuration and rollout
of Guardium functionality, enhancing the existing Guardium environments,
troubleshooting, implementing changes, trend analysis and providing best
practices as needed. Requirements • Bachelor of Science in Information
Technology, Management Information Systems or Risk Management. • 5+ years of
experience in IT Security or related area with a focus on security tool
technology, security management and policy enforcement. • Prior experience with
network security & related applications, tools and solutions. • Deep
understanding of network routing and switching architecture, design and
troubleshooting. • Experience supporting 24x7x365 high availability solutions
in large complex data center environment. • Strong organizational skills. •
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines. • Ability to work efficiently and
productively without direction or guidance. • Capable of exercising extreme
discretion and independent judgment. • Ability to handle extremely confidential
information in a professional manner. • GRC certifications such as CISA, CGEIT,
CRISC (desired) • Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Required)
Responsibilities • Experience in Architecting Guardium environment. • Installed
and configured the central manager, aggregators, collectors. • STAP Agent
installation – scripts automation. • Produce and maintain metrics and daily
health check reports. • Create and maintain real-time anomaly detection and
alerting • Engage IBM Guardium support to identify and resolve hardware and
software issues. • Provide Guardium user provisioning activities using a role
based methodology. • Participate in information security audits ensuring
technical compliance with security related regulatory requirements (PCI, SOX,
PII, PHI, etc.). • Maintain an inventory of the databases being monitored and
ensure that the tools are properly deployed and configured. • Database Security
Configuration (Baseline Hardening) • Database Access Control • Database Data
Protection • Database Audit Remediation • Support new and existing security
solutions and partner with the security engineering team for the implementation
and integration of any new enhancements made to existing security solutions in
support of improving overall enterprise security. • Ensure security tools and
solutions hardware/software/devices are operating effectively and updated in a
timely manner. • Determine appropriate levels of security configuration,
controls and monitoring. • Use appropriate and effective measures to respond to
network security alerts. • Support the deployment of new security solutions in
multiple data centers. • Support incident management processes and security
monitoring alerts in preventing internal / external hackers. • Responsible for
meeting all reporting requirements. Skills: • Must have 8+ years of information
technology experience with 5 years of database information, security
technology, or database administration experience.+ • A solid understanding of
operating systems (Linux, Microsoft Windows, AIX, etc.) and expert
understanding of database administration and security with SQL, Oracle, DB2,
and some experience with non-relational databases such as Hadoop and Mongo is
also helpful. • Must have experience with set-up, configuration, and
troubleshooting of DAM applications like IBM Infosphere Guardium, Imperva
SecureSphere, jSonar SonarG and high initiative to become a SME with the
products. • Prior knowledge or training with IBM Infosphere Guardium • Good
communication and organization skills • Comfortable with working with various
levels of management and a wide-variety of database owners, • Ability to appropriately
escalate problem issues to software vendors for action • Three to five years’
Experience with IBM Guardium Database Activity Monitor • Daily health check for
Guardium Infrastructure e.g. Alerts, System Monitor, S-TAP inactive. •
Deployment of Guardium Agents manual and automated • Configure and Maintain
Guardium Jobs (Audit Processes, Security Assessments • Create and Maintain
Guardium Policies/Rules. • Create Reports in Guardium based on requirements and
integration with SIEM tools. • Open PMRs and assist IBM with resolution of
Issues and maintain the appliances to the right patch level. • Experience in
Guardium version upgrades.
