Role: Release Manager

Location:  Rosemont,
IL

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Ensure that knowledge
management (on boarding, how to guides, checklists, project skills matrix,
knowledge maps etc.) plans are produced and maintained for all release managers
in the group.

• Chair Weekly Release Control
Board Meetings to track the release progress and manage risk and issues .

 • Continuous service improvement and the
implementation of agreed transformational activities.

• Working with senior management,
service and delivery partners to ensure appropriate decisions are taken on
content at risk

• Monitoring and enforcement of
the established release management processes and policies

• Design, develop and implement
appropriate release processes, environments, testing processes and supporting
tools for any new platforms or applications

• Design and implement change
acceptance stage gates and supporting processes, including testing and QA
procedures.

• Good people management skills
and knowledge

• Manage Programme level risks
and issues.

• Design and implement Release
Management Service line

• Strong customer focus,
providing excellent customer service

• Observe relevant procedures,
guidelines and standards and put forward suggestions for their improvement.

• Sound understanding of system
administration, customization and configuration of applications

• Produce timely and accurate
reports to management regarding progress, issues, risks and conflicts.

• Work with vendor team
management to coordinate/develop vendor resources.

• Develop and maintains strong
relationships with vendor resources and vendor management.
