Performance Tester

Job Title:  Performance Tester<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Roles & Responsibilities:

Design, research, development or analysis componAssess and define performance test strategy

Gathering and assessing the Non-Functional Requirements (NFR)

Define workload model and identify types of Non-Functional Testing (NFT)

Preparing test plans, estimating effort and schedule for the engagement

Developing appropriate non-functional testing strategy, defining the health parameters to be captured and analyzed

Responsible for setting up data, tools, databases to enable NFT

Create, review & execute perf. test scripts for various workload models

Analyze the NFT results and recommend appropriate corrective measures

Delivering NFT reports – status, performance metrics and recommendation

Provide technical guidance to team members

 

Role Specific Skills:

Hands on experience with Web(HTTP/HTML) and web services protocol

Strong scripting, execution and Analysis experience using Performance Center 12.20 and Load Runner 12.02

 

Experience & Exposure Required:

8+ years of testing experience, with a minimum of 3+ years in Performance testing

Work with offshore team to complete performance testing activities

Create workload model from the server logs

Strong scripting, execution and Analysis experience using Performance Center 12.20 and Load Runner 12.02

Hands on experience with Web(HTTP/HTML) and web services protocol

Work with Project Managers to develop performance test plans.

Collaborate with development, infrastructure and 3rd party vendor team to keep the test environment up and running.

Conduct system performance testing to ensure system reliability, capacity and scalability.

Generate test summary reports for management review.

Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for bug fixes.

Analyze root causes of performance issues and provide corrective actions.

Take ownership in effort estimation, project planning, scheduling and tracking activities.
