Informatica Technical Lead
 

 

Duties &
Responsibilities:

Be the technical lead on Informatica upgrade
project.

Responsible for the overall technical
solutions to upgrades several applications from previous version on Informatica
to 9.6 as well as batch jobs scripted on Linux

Responsible for automating the process of
impact analysis, remediation related changes, validations etc

Responsible for defining technical solutions
for all team members

Responsible for providing estimates for
Informatica technical tasks to the project manager

Responsible for defining quality checks for
the development and testing team to adhere to the defined solution

Create and maintain adequate documentation of
project ETL design, technical artifacts and ETL environment.

Conduct and provide oversight for
administration and upgrades for the Informatica environments to ensure the
development environment is maintained for required performance and
functionality to meet the business needs.

Good communication skills—verbal &
written; specifically experience dealing with senior client leadership,
developing and negotiating contracts

Excellent presentation skills

Should have strong knowledge on the Microsoft
word processing, spreadsheet applications and project management programs like
mpp etc.

Should have good technical background like
database concepts etc

Defect management – Should ensure that
defects are logged, tracked. Exposure to any of the tools like QC is an added
advantage

Coordinate with multiple client project
managers/program managers, client managers, client team members and client
leadership

Coordinate with different teams (including
offshore and onshore teams), setting up meetings, help team resolve
issues/queries, and publish the project health check at regular basis

Experience in Property & Casualty
Insurance industry

 

Qualifications:

Technical
Requirements:

Minimum of 6-8 years of experience with
Informatica of 8.1 till 9.6

Experience working with Power Center and
Power Exchange

Experience must include Upgrading
Informatica,

Analyzing impact of upgrades

Development of Informatica mappings

Shell scripting on Redhat Linux is an
advantage       

Experience working with offsite and offshore
technical teams in a program environment with multiple teams and projects

Experience working in a fast paced
environment

Minimum 3-5 years of experience on RDBMS like
Oracle , DB2 , SQL Server etc

Minimum of three years of Unix and Linux
experience architecting Informatica /ETL solutions

Good/solid understanding of technical
concepts (Java, .Net, Mainframes, Databases, Datawarehousing etc)

Informatica Administration experience is an
advantage
