Role: Enterprise Architect

Job Overview

This position focuses on defining a modular architecture that can respond to current and future business requirements, business systems, and business processes evolving in the cloud. This position will create and drive strategy and content of multiple cloud service launches and integration models. This individual will influence and lead cross-functional teams to complete projects and major initiatives. The Architect will follow a collaborative process with stakeholders, fellow architects, product management and business partners to collect requirements; in order to fully articulate the architecture of the platform. Architect would have to identify, deliver, and document the required artifacts to make solutions available, including strategy collateral, technical roadmaps, position statements, policies, standards, concepts, and logical specifications. After the architecture phase, the Architects actively consult throughout the execution phases, including design, engineering, migration, implementation, and operations. They feed implementation and operational challenges back into architectural opportunities.

Responsibilities:

         Work collaboratively with Global Technology &amp; Operations, Business Units, and Infrastructure technology departments to set the technology direction, vision, and strategy to enable Cloud technology adoption and the resultant migration

         Lead efforts to define cloud future state architectures and roadmaps including architecture standards, guidelines, and industry best practices

         Demonstrate a leadership role in ensuring that new and existing systems are aligned to architectural guidelines

         Assist infrastructure operations team in selecting cloud service providers

         Assess application readiness for cloud technology adoption

         Evaluate and Recommend the SaaS/PaaS/IaaS cloud models that best fit business needs

         Collaborate with enterprise architects in other architectural areas to ensure comprehensive and cohesive working solutions are developed across disciplines o Economic and technical value proposition for cloud o Distinctions and tradeoffs among IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, private, hybrid, public cloud o Distinctions and tradeoffs among market leading cloud providers, orchestration platforms, SDN, and hypervisor solutions o Strategies and best practices for implementing resilient, scalable, enterprise-class solutions in cloud infrastructures

Experience and Qualifications required:

         Experience architecting cloud infrastructures for medium to large-scale applications

         • Experience leading the organizational adoption of cloud infrastructure in a large enterprise

         15+ years overall IT system architecture, design, development, deployment experience • 10+ years infrastructure architecture or management experience • Specific experience with medium-large scale cloud adoption , including application readiness assessment, organizational change, and integration into a Service Management framework

         Deep technical knowledge of infrastructure components such as Network, Storage and midrange Compute

         Infrastructure management experience with common distributed compute and storage technologies

         Demonstrated knowledge of broad enterprise architecture concepts, disciplines, and capabilities.

         Manage stakeholder’s expectations in the client set up

         Technical Expertise: o Adept with enterprise architecture concepts and terminology (EAI, SOA, ESB, REST)

·         Relevant experience in large-scale data center architecture/design, middleware architecture, application deployment methods, automation, testing, compliance, and auditing o Service-oriented architecture for cloud-based services; including service provisioning, product catalog integration, and billing systems integration o Service Management design and definition, especially with cloud products (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, cloud storage, cloud database)

         Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to generate stakeholder buy-in and lead through influence at a senior management level

         Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work in collaborative, cross functional, and multi-cultural teams
