Data Modeler (Consumer lending expertise)

Description

Senior Data Modeler with cradle to grave lending domain expertise that will design and implement logical, physical and canonical data models in a fully collaborative, AGILE environment.  The candidate will be actively involved in SCRUM teams and drive the effort through the iterative build phase.  Agility must be across not only the project delivery, but across the entire operational model.

The data modeler is expected to develop a deep understanding of the data stores associated with the vendor products which will result in a logical model representing the combination of these data stores and any auxiliary information that will be needed to support the overall solution including reporting and analytics.

The data modeler is expected to be able to document and educate the team on the logical contents of each data store and the overall solution.   The data modeler will then be responsible for converting the logical model to physical model(s) based on the overall architectural framework.

Both operational and warehouse-like components will be part of the overall system, so the ideal candidate will have experience with both.   The data movement pattern will largely be driven by a service oriented architecture with near-time updates so familiarity with that environment will be a strong plus.

This is a lead position so the candidate will be expected to provide consultative services to help complete projects according to the overall project roadmap.  In addition, she/he should be in a position to provide capabilities around solution scoping, requirement specification, functional design, test scenario documentation, acceptance testing and training.
