Data
sourcing BA candidates should have representative experience in the following
areas:

Ability
to translate Finance’s regulatory requirements into data sourcing
requirements/specifications as required for report development.Perform
gap analysis on data, systems, processes and procedures as required for the
project.Contribute
to process re-engineering and process improvement where applicable.The
ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in systems
implementation, process improvements or systems re-engineering projects with a
banking organization or consulting company with background in Regulatory or
Financial Reporting. Specific experience
includes:Engage
with Reg Reporting Lead Business Analyst and translate IHC reporting
requirements to data sourcing requirements.Develop
and document current state environment and processing flows including the data
lineage from source to target.Understand
rationalized or over-loaded data attributes; normalized and de-normalized data
structures.Reference
data analysis and documentation - product and counterparty static.Perform
GAP analysis for all related changes to existing IT systems and/or interfaces.Develop
functional and technical specifications (where appropriate).Liaise
with IT developers to communicate data sourcing requirements and current/future
state architecture.Communicate
project status as necessary to project manager.Knowledge
of Investment banking products.Knowledge
of project SDLC lifecycle

Qualifications

Minimal
requirements - MS Word, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and MS Excel, VisioProficient
in data analysis using SQLExperience
with logical and physical models, proof of concept to implementationExperience
in Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse, design, architectural and
implementation servicesExperience
in design, support and training on Data Warehouse projects (Oracle, Sybase, SQL
Server)Experience
in documenting Functional Requirements and Interface SpecificationsExperience
in regulatory or statuary reporting in regulatory bodies, or at leading
investment banks and other financial institutionsExperience
in data analytics, control, reconciliation and remediation is highly beneficialEffective
and professional verbal and written communication
