Managing Delivery Architect - Netsuite Solution Architect  

Overview:

The position supports NetSuite ERP engagements and prospective engagements. 

The candidate will serve as a subject  matter expert to clients, prospects and partners to assist them in optimizing their use of NetSuite to successfully define, build and deploy. 

The Solution Architect is a highly-visible, client facing role.

The candidate must be a seasoned architect who comes with extensive experience in application software architecture, and implementation of internet scale applications in fast-paced environments, using cloud computing technologies. 

The Solution Architect is responsible for defining the technologies required to support the business objectives of client projects. 

This includes identifying complementary vendors, determining make vs. buy options for functional gaps, defining integration strategies, understanding infrastructure requirements and leading teams in the delivery of solutions for clients in various industries.

In addition to working on billable client engagements, the Solution Architect will also assist as needed on pre-sales opportunities such as RFP responses, proposal delivery, architecture assessments and technical qualifications.

Required Skills:

• Experience designing overall NetSuite ERP solution including complementary vendors and integrations based on business requirements and impact on boundary systems  

o Facilitate design workshops with Client and Consulting team(s)  

o Lead application demonstration sessions, and evaluate fit of solution choices  

o Provide Client facing analysis and documentation for critical business decisions

• Lead the translation of the client's business goals, objectives, and requirements into systems design

• Liaison with NetSuite and complementary vendors for issues, package provisioning and performance concerns

• Lead cross-functional, cross-technology solution design discussions

• Review and/or develop functional design documents to ensure completeness and feasibility with the overall ERP solution

• Review and/or develop functional specifications to ensure functional feasibility and alignment with the overall ERP solution

• Facilitate communication between onshore and offshore teams to ensure configuration and development activities meet the solution requirements

• Assist with application configuration choices and decisions

• Design architecture for scalability, high-availability, performance, flexibility, operational efficiency, security and maintainability.

• Offer implementation options for new system features that enable strategic business capabilities

• Use technology as a key competitive advantage by evaluating and implementing technical innovations

• Define solution footprint for prospects, either as part of proposal response or on-site discovery or other working sessions

• Work with project managers to ensure accurate scoping timely delivery of projects

• Estimate time frames, quality and quantity of resources required to successfully implement project

• Develop project plan incorporating all project variables including risk.

• Act as a mentor to Leads and Analysts

Qualifications:

•  3+ years experience developing solutions with NetSuite ERP, Complementary Vendors, and SDN Partners

• Experience customizing NetSuite’s SuiteCloud development platform

• Working knowledge of NetSuite Configuration

• Familiarity with business transformation and experience managing business objectives and requirements to technical solutions

• At least 2 full lifecycle NetSuite implementations

• Experience with large, global, complex projects including NetSuite OneWorld is highly desirable

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics or related field.      

Delivery Architects assess a project’s technical feasibility, as well as implementation risks.   

They are responsible for designing and implementing a project’s technical architecture.

They define the structure of a system, its interfaces, and the principles that guide its organization, software design and implementation.

The scope of the Delivery Architect’s role is bounded by the business issue at hand.

A Delivery Architect needs to have knowledge of all the different aspects of the technical Delivery as well as robust business knowledge. This includes the Software Architect.

 Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for designing and validating a complex architecture and ensuring its   successful implementation.
  • You should be able to identify and challenge several IT scenarios by taking into account the business environment.
  • You work as a stream lead at CIO/CTO level in major client organizations.
  • You lead Capgemini operations relating to market development and/or service delivery excellence.
  • You are seen as a role model in your community.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Certification: Has TOGAF 9 and has IAF level 1 and is seeking level 2.
  • Should be experienced in foundation, People Leadership, service & delivery.
  • Should be proficient in client acquisition & development and business leadership.
  • Should be masters in Technology Awareness & Leveraging and Innovation & Capability Growth.
