029239-Test Analyst - API Test Automation Engineer

Job Description:

• Define, build and Implement test Automation Framework for API testing.

• Develop and Execute Automation scripts for API automation.

• Reproduce customer issues, verify potential fixes, and write regression tests.

• Enhance and extend the test  automation framework, system, and libraries to test complex, large-scale, distributed systems.

• Analyze and troubleshoot  test  failures, submit defects, and communicate test  results.

• Recommend test environment setup and service virtualization strategies 

• Track defects and verify  fixes.

• Participate in day-to-day QA activities, including the continuous integration and Continuous Delivery build environment.  

Required/Mandatory Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in automation testing/development.

• 3+ years of experience in Java Script and working on Web services.

• Experience in automation of API testing.

• Excellent experience in software test and automation for web frontend and/or backend.

• Good knowledge in testing and automating integration platforms using SOAP and REST APIs with Java as the development language.

• Requires an understanding of the application of the agile development methodology. 

• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.

Secondary/Desired Skills:

• Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, Selenium, Cucumber, Robotium, JMeter.

• Good knowledge of object oriented design and implementation.

• Familiarity  with Amazon Web Services.  

Test  Consultants are concerned with the independent verification and validation of the products produced by the development process.

Testing is carried out in each phase:

  • The requirements are tested by an acceptance test
  • The system design (analysis and design) by a system and integration test
  • The programs by a program and module test

Required Skills and Experience:

You are learning and developing the knowledge, technical skills and core consulting behaviors required to succeed in Application Services.

You are responsible under general supervision for the definition and execution of test scripts and accurate reporting of results, to ensure that the delivered solution meets specification.

You develop competence in specific areas of testing through training, development and experience.

You demonstrate flexibility and versatility in meeting objectives and should be able to manage your workload and update management on task progress.

• Qualification: Minimum 3 years experience, Bachelor’s Degree.

• Should have baseline skills in Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Testing Lifecycle, Testing Expertise, Testing Techniques, Testing Management, Architecture Knowledge, Technical Solution Design and Quality Management.
